This website belongs to the AirTrack Forum, an association of organisations which support in principle the creation of a new direct rail link connecting Heathrow to the South West Trains rail network to the south and west of London.

On this site you can find information about the background to and history of the AirTrack concept and the work of the AirTrack Forum since its inception.

Since 2006, BAA/HAL (Heathrow Airport Ltd) have been developing a specific and detailed scheme proposal - "Heathrow Airtrack", which substantially reflects the scheme concept championed by the AirTrack Forum, but now includes some important revisions. Heathrow Airtrack is now (July 2009) the subject of an application to the Secretary of State for Transport for an order under the Transport and Works Act 1992, seeking powers to construct, maintain and operate the railway.  Full details of Heathrow Airtrack and the application, are available via BAA's Heathrow Airtrack web page (see link below),

The AirTrack Forum has no responsibility for either the content of the application to the Secretary of State, or the initial period of formal consultation on that application, which will run from 24 July to 18 September 2009.

Any objections, expressions of support or other representations about the proposals in the current application should be sent to the Secretary of State for Transport. For further information, please follow the link below to BAA's Heathrow Airtrack web page:
